Bajirao Mastani Nana Patekar Sanjay Bhansali

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has received tremendous response at the box office but there is one person who is not ‘really’ happy with the film. And that person is Bollywood’s most straight-forward celeb ‘Nana Patekar’ who has previously worked with Bhansali in ‘Khamoshi‘.

Bajirao Mastani review

Nana Patekar has slammed Sanjay Leela Bhansali from left, right and center ( pun intended); after watching his magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Nana Patekar Slams Sanjay Bhansali Ruthlessly For His Film Bajirao Mastani

Here is what he said after watching Bajirao Mastani :

“A boy who was into fights, horses, and swords at the age of 17, is portrayed as a careless teenager in search of entertainment.

’40kg was the weight of Bajirao’s sword. Bhansali would have got piles even if he thought of lifting his sword’, Nana adds with a smirk.

Bajirao’s wife Kashibai, is shown dancing with Mastani which is a true insult to the people of Maharashtra.

Kashibai and Mastani were not paaro or chandramukhi from Devdas to drink and dance. I feel pity on people and their desperation to hit the box office by manipulating history.

Bajirao was the one to defeat moghuls and won about 75% of India. In 21years of his tenure he won all 41 fights he fought, and if people recognize him only because of his love for Mastani, that will be such an insult to the great Peshwa.

We are responsible for being tolerant to such a pathetic manipulation of history. What if this was done in case of Chatrapati shivaji Maharaj ? There would have been riots! Then why treat Bajirao (who never lost a battle) less to Shivaji Maharaj ?

If you still want to see the movie and contribute to Bhansali feel free to. Please share to create awareness!
