The gunmen was identified as the former employee of the same news channel WDBJ7. He was a fired television reporter with a history of conflicts at work and rage apparently stoked by racial grievances.
24-year-old Alison Parker and 27-year-old Adam Ward were shot dead by Vester Lee Flanagan, who reported under the name Bryce Williams.
Flanagan posted several tweets since the shooting, which took place this morning at 6: 45 am. He also uploaded two first-person videos of the tragic shooting.
Flanagan shot himself dead as he realized that he was going to be nabbed by the cops soon. Flanagan wrote about the shooting on twitter, uploaded his video on facebook and sent a manifesto to ABC News that spoke admiringly of mass killers and said that as a black, gay man he had faced discrimination and sexual harassment.
